What precautions should be taken when using a pull-string displacement sensor?

2026-04-06 04:50:32 · · #1

A draw-wire displacement sensor, also known as a pull-cord sensor , is a new and simple length-displacement sensor with a wide range of applications. It boasts advantages such as compact structure, long measuring stroke, small installation space, high measurement accuracy, good reliability, long lifespan, and low maintenance. So, what are the precautions for using draw-wire displacement sensors? Below is a sharing from Shensi Measurement & Control:

1. The pull rope displacement sensor is a precision instrument. It is strictly forbidden to knock or drop it during installation. Improper installation and use will affect the performance and service life of the pull rope displacement sensor.

2. When installing the pull rope head, pay attention to its perpendicularity to the outlet. That is, try to pull the wire rope perpendicular to the outlet and keep the minimum angle (less than or equal to 3 degrees) to ensure measurement accuracy and the life of the steel cable. At the same time, the distance from the pull rope head to the initial position of the moving part and the measurement stroke should be within the allowable range of the pull rope.

3. The wiring of the rope displacement sensor must be correct; incorrect wiring will damage the internal circuit.

4. The surface of the pull rope displacement sensor is coated with plastic. Do not allow it to be cut, burned, impacted or otherwise damaged by external forces, otherwise it will affect the life of the displacement sensor.

5. Do not twist the output wires and power wires of the displacement sensor together or transmit them through the same conduit, and do not use it near the wiring panel to prevent interference.
