Circuit breakers are a necessity in every household, but when you go to a hardware store, you'll find a dazzling array of switches and sockets of all sizes. How do you choose?

Circuit breakers come in various letter models. What do these letters mean?

In general: D represents power, and C represents tripping current, i.e., the tripping current.

1. Household circuit breakers are basically DZ, which have built-in leakage protection. Common models/specifications include: C16, C25, C32, C40, C60, C80, C100, C120, etc.

II. In industrial applications, air switches are generally represented by DW and DZ. Models include 20, 32, 50, 63, 80, 100, 125, 160, 250, 400, 600, 800, 1000... (unit: A).

explain:

For example, C32 indicates a tripping current of 32 amps, and C32 is generally used for installing a 6500W water heater.

A C40 circuit breaker is required to install 7500W and 8500W water heaters.

Let me give you another specific model: such as DZ47-60AC25

DZ47 series miniature circuit breakers (there are many other series, basically named by the manufacturer)

LE-----With leakage current tripping function 60-----Frame rating is 60A

C------Instantaneous tripping overcurrent ratio is determined by the type of circuit, such as 5~7 or 7~10 times; D is for dynamic type, 10~14 times.

Next, we will discuss which type of circuit breaker should be selected for specific applications:

1. DZ5 series: Suitable for AC 50HZ, 380V circuits with rated current from 0.15A to 50A.

2. DZ10 series: Suitable for AC 50HZ, 380V or DC 220V and below circuits.

3. DZ12 series: Suitable for AC 50HZ single-phase 230V circuits, mainly installed in lighting distribution boxes in hotels, apartments, high-rise buildings, squares, airports, railway stations, etc.

4. DZ15 series: Suitable for AC 50HZ circuits with rated voltage of 380V and rated current of 63A.

5. DZ20 series: Applicable to AC 50HZ, rated insulation voltage 660V, rated voltage 380V and below, and rated current up to 1250A.

6. DZ47 series: Suitable for AC 50HZ/60HZ circuits with rated operating voltage of 240V/415V and below and rated current up to 60A.

7. DW15 series: Suitable for AC 50HZ power distribution networks with rated voltage up to 440V and rated operating voltage up to 1140V and 80V.

8. SCML series: Suitable for AC circuits of 50HZ, 60HZ, 500V and below.

9. DW10 series: Suitable for AC 50HZ electrical circuits with rated voltage up to 440V.

10. AC30 series: Suitable for supporting electrical components of modular terminal combination electrical systems, and can also be installed in other complete electrical boxes for plugging in electrical equipment.

11. H series: Suitable for rated current of 600A and below, AC 50HZ, rated working voltage of 690V and below, DC 230V and below, generally used as an auxiliary electrophoresis circuit breaker, rated current of 225A and below, and can be used for circuit and infrequent switching and infrequent starting of motors respectively.
