Without advanced technology, it's difficult to produce advanced products. Motor manufacturing involves processing and handling motor components, assembling them into finished products, and requires tailored process plans and methods based on product characteristics, production type, and the specific circumstances of the manufacturing plant to achieve efficient production and lean manufacturing. Today, Ms. Can will discuss traditional motor manufacturing processes to clarify the crucial conditions necessary to ensure stable and reliable motor quality.
General and differentiated requirements of process measures
●For single-unit and small-batch production, general-purpose machine tools and dies are used for the machining of most parts, and the processing is carried out by the factory's technical management personnel and workers based on experience. The focus of process work is on developing process plans for key components that affect product quality and resolving related quality issues.
● Medium-batch production typically employs a combination of general-purpose machine tools and specialized process equipment, or utilizes easily adjustable program-controlled machine tools and numerically controlled machine tools. This requires the development of relatively complete process specifications.
● Mass production uses specialized machine tools to organize automatic or semi-automatic production lines; it requires a systematic and in-depth analysis and research on the product's structural manufacturability and the processing schemes for parts, and the development of comprehensive process specifications.
Experience has shown that the larger the production volume, the more specialized machine tools and process equipment are used, and the more meticulous the process, the higher the production efficiency, the lower the product cost, and the more stable the quality. Because motor products come in a wide variety of specifications, a factory often produces single-unit, small-batch, and medium-to-large-batch products simultaneously. This increases the difficulty of production technology management and hinders the rapid improvement of production efficiency and product quality.
Process work serves as a bridge between design and manufacturing.
●The analysis of the manufacturability of product design structure, the formulation of process plans and methods, the planning of required special process equipment, the verification of new process methods and key process equipment, the handling of process problems that occur in production, and the conduct of process experimentation and research are all quite extensive.
● The intentions of process engineers are generally conveyed to the relevant implementing departments through process documents. The complexity and format of motor process documents vary depending on the type of production, and can generally be divided into two categories: one is used to guide technical operations and technical inspections, such as process sheets, process rules, and inspection procedures, which are generally called process specifications; the other is used to organize production, such as process cards and product process flow charts.
● When preparing process documents, it is essential to comprehensively consider and thoroughly analyze the technical requirements of the product design drawings; the annual output and batch size of parts; the supply of raw materials or blanks; and the technical equipment and skill level of the workers in the manufacturing workshop.
Features that process documents should have
●Technical Requirements. The process should fully meet the technical requirements of the product drawings and ensure stable and reliable quality as much as possible. Therefore, when selecting processing schemes and methods, attention should be paid to using correct process arrangements and appropriate tooling to achieve the required technical requirements; generally, it is not advisable to rely excessively on the operator's skills.
●Economic efficiency. Under certain production volume and cooperation conditions, the most economical means should be considered to achieve the required technical requirements; and attention should be paid to making full use of the department's favorable conditions and eliminating or improving weak links in production as much as possible.
●Technical safety and working conditions. Special attention should be paid to technical safety and working conditions when preparing process documents. It is not permitted to use process methods that harm the health of workers or increase the intensity of labor in order to achieve technical requirements or improve economic efficiency.
● To promote the development of new technologies and improve the factory's technological level, process personnel should not only be familiar with existing processes and methods, but also pay attention to the research and promotion of new technologies. They should have good comprehensive analytical skills and foresight regarding the development trends of relevant technologies, and be quick to adopt appropriate new technological achievements to develop production and improve the factory's technological level.
