Are you familiar with the quality grades and related standards for electronic components?

To ensure the quality of electronic components , China has formulated a series of component standards. The "Seven Specializations" 7905 technical agreement formulated in the late 1970s and the "Seven Specializations" 8406 technical conditions formulated in the early 1980s (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Seven Specializations") form the basis for establishing standards for military-grade electronic components. Currently, components produced according to the "Seven Specializations" conditions or their stricter requirements remain the main products used by aerospace and other departments. (Note: "Seven Specializations" refers to specialized personnel, specialized equipment, specialized materials, specialized batches, specialized inspection, specialized technology, and specialized specifications.) Based on development trends, the "Seven Specializations" conditions will gradually transition into military-grade standards for electronic components.

Since the beginning of the military industry in the 1980s, China's military industry standardization organization has established the GJB system with reference to the US military industrial standards (MIL) system. The standards for components are in three forms: specifications, standards, and guiding military technical documents.

a. Specifications—mainly include: general specifications and detailed specifications for components, which are collectively referred to as product specifications.

b. Standards—mainly including: testing and measurement standards, quality assurance guidelines and production line certification standards, component material and part standards, model naming standards, text and graphic symbol standards, etc.;

c. Military technical guidance documents—mainly including: guidelines for the correct selection and use of components, manuals for military reliability forecasting of electronic equipment, component series catalogs, etc.

I. Component specifications mainly include two levels: general specifications and detailed specifications. General specifications stipulate the quality control requirements for a specific type of component, in accordance with military standards. Detailed specifications specify the specific military performance and quality control requirements for one or more models within a particular component category. General specifications must be used in conjunction with detailed specifications. Component product specifications are one of the bases for component production line certification and component qualification, and also a primary basis for users to select and procure components.

Currently, my country's defense industry authorities have issued a large number of general specifications for components, but detailed specifications are not yet fully in place. Therefore, detailed specifications (which are at the enterprise military standard level) are often formulated by component manufacturers and implemented after being confirmed by standardization organizations.

Second, standards are another form of military standard system besides regulations and guidelines for military technical documents . They encompass a wide range of categories. For component users, it is essential to first understand the standards related to testing and measurement methods. These standards provide crucial technical support for specifications. Understanding the content of these standards in conjunction with product specifications helps to gain a deeper understanding of the component's ability to withstand various stresses. Furthermore, they provide a reference for component users to correctly formulate supplementary screening (secondary screening) or failure analysis standards or regulations within military military documents.

Test method standards are technical standards that guide the testing, measurement, or analysis of a certain type of component. These standards are relatively few in number, but they play a significant role in ensuring the quality of components.
