The new IO-Link master module PSS u2 ES 4IOL can be used for communication between the remote I/O system PSSuniversal 2 and sensors/actuators. The PSS u2 ES 4IOL module provides four IO-Link ports, each capable of connecting one sensor/actuator supporting the IO-Link protocol. This allows sensors/actuators to transmit more information to the control unit, improving diagnostic capabilities for the entire system and meeting the requirements of Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing.
The four IO-Link ports on the PSS u2 ES 4IOL module can directly provide 24VDC power to sensors/actuators. The standardized 12.5mm module width makes the entire PSSuniversal 2 distributed I/O system more compact, saving electrical control cabinet space. Users can select three different transmission rates: 4.8KB, 38.4KB, and 230.4KB. Each IO-Link port can provide up to 32 process data points, which can be easily configured using the PSSuniversal 2 configuration software tool PASconfig. Its high degree of openness and good compatibility allow the PSSuniversal 2 distributed I/O system to be flexibly integrated into PROFINET and Ethernet/IP networks.
Effective parameterization
