PRMS Collision Measurement System for Human-Machine Collision
The Pilz Collision Measurement System (PRMS) indicates whether forces and pressures are within a defined pain threshold. It measures the forces and pressures generated by a potential collision between a human and a robot, and the assessment is performed via software. Therefore, PRMS can be used to validate human-robot collaboration (HRC).
The PROBms collision measurement system is mainly used to verify human-machine collaboration and to record the forces and pressures that would cause a collision.

Force measurement: The collision measurement device has a spring and a sensor to measure the force applied to the human body.
Nine different springs, each with a different elastic constant, can be used in force measurements to reconstruct various body regions.
Pressure measurement: Pressure indicating membranes are used to measure local pressure and compare it with the limit values specified in relevant standards.
