The product of the contents of the soft elements specified by each source in the Xinjie PLC is stored as 32-bit data in the soft element (low bit) specified by the target address and the soft element (high bit) immediately following it. Example in the figure above: when (D0)=8 and (D2)=9, (D5, D4)=72.
The highest bit of the result is the sign bit, which is either positive (0) or negative (1).
It is important to note that in the example above, when the drive input X0 is ON, a multiplication operation is performed once per scan cycle of the Xinjie PLC.
In 32-bit operations, when the target address of the Xinjie PLC uses a bit soft element, a 64-bit result is obtained.
Even when using word elements, it is not possible to monitor the results of 64-bit data operations for an extended period of time.
