SCADA pipeline monitoring system is a computer-based automated system for production process control and scheduling. It can monitor and control the equipment operating on site, and perform various functions such as data collection, measurement, various signal alarms, equipment control and parameter adjustment.
The system primarily consists of main station software, computer and network equipment, communication equipment, long-distance terminals, and instruments. The main station software is technologically advanced, possesses complete independent intellectual property rights, and has passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal of the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, stating that it "reaches the international advanced level of similar research." It is a new generation of automated gas dispatching and metering application platform developed based on component technology. The iES-E1000 system features excellent openness and configurability, supporting a range of applications including on-site automation, dispatch center monitoring and management. Its main functions include:
1. Safe operation monitoring function:
(1) Data collection and pipeline monitoring functions
Calculation functions: It can calculate and process analog quantities and status quantities according to predefined alarm limits, rate of change limits, and verification limits, generating corresponding alarm events and verification results. It can also calculate maximum and minimum values, occurrence times, average values, load rates, pass rates, equipment uptime rates, and equipment operation frequency.
The system provides a time-segmented verification function, allowing the system's measurement data to be verified by different time periods each day, with different verification limits set for each time period. The verification results are stored in the historical database and the reporting module generates verification reports for users to view and query.
(2) Demonstrating function
It displays the dynamic process flow of the entire gas transmission pipeline network and the dynamic process flow of each station. The operating parameters and equipment status are displayed in real time on the flow chart, and equipment ledger information, operating parameter information, and operating calculation information can be directly queried on the flow chart.
(3) Video surveillance function
Cameras installed in the monitored area monitor and record production equipment and the environment, transmitting the dynamic images of the monitored area to the dispatch control center. The recordings or images of the operating equipment at each station can be viewed and checked on the workstations in the control center.
(4) Alarm handling function
Provides comprehensive alarm functions. It can visually alert dispatchers to abnormalities in the pipeline distribution system through multiple screens. Alarms of different levels can be received on all operator stations, and the alarm will continue to flash if not acknowledged. When an alarm occurs, it automatically displays the alarm screen and event tracking window to show the event details, accompanied by an audible or voice alarm, notifying dispatchers to handle the situation promptly.
(5) Retrieval of pipeline operation diagram library
The pipeline network planning drawings can be easily accessed through the human-machine interface system. If the pipeline network malfunctions, the relevant drawings of the fault point can be accessed in a timely manner for analysis and emergency repair.
(6) Electronic duty function (SMS service)
Primarily used when incidents or accidents occur during the operation of gas pipeline networks and station equipment, the system can immediately and proactively notify relevant operation, repair, and management personnel to promptly understand the situation and handle the incident in a timely manner.
(7) Web publishing function
The client can use a reader to view the system's real-time information, historical information, various graphical information, equipment operating conditions, production calculation reports, etc., to achieve remote production supervision.
(8) Electric valve control function
The system provides safe and reliable remote control and adjustment functions, and has strict safety and anti-misoperation measures, including operator authentication, remote control permission approval, target repetition, property interlocking, and equipment status interlocking.
2. Production management function:
(1) Equipment ledger processing
Establish a register of equipment (such as flow computers, combustible gas detectors, electric regulating valves, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, etc.), including static information such as equipment origin, production date, service life, commissioning time, responsible person, and pressure level, and be able to dynamically calculate information such as equipment operating time and number of operations.
(2) Report Function
It has functions such as report generation, report modification, report reading, and report printing.
The format and content of the report can be customized according to requirements, and the report will then be automatically generated by the system.
It can automatically generate various types of reports by shift, day, month, quarter, and year, including production reports, operation reports, pressure reports, verification reports, operation monitoring and control record reports, etc., and supports report generation and repair.
(3) Printing function
Printing items can be tracked online, and the content can be customized or manually categorized.
Scheduled automatic printing or on-demand printing of reports, such as class reports, daily reports, monthly reports, and annual reports. The scheduled printing time for each report can be set separately, reports can be previewed before printing, and can be scaled for printing.
(4) Personnel processing
The system categorizes personnel from different departments and positions and assigns them different permissions. The permissions are divided according to functions, and the system has strict permission restrictions on the use of each function. Only personnel with the corresponding permissions are allowed to use and control it. Important operations of each person generate event records for archiving. Individuals can change their account passwords at any time to prevent unauthorized use.
(5) Restrictions on control permissions and access permissions
Users can create accounts, set corresponding operation permissions, and be assigned to corresponding work groups.
3. Other functions:
(1) Mobile office function
By adding a wireless network card to a laptop, users can log in to the system and, after authentication, view the real-time and historical data of the entire system anytime, anywhere. If the supervisor is away from the office for meetings or other reasons, this method can be used to monitor the operation and information of the entire gas pipeline network, assisting in decision-making and office planning. The monitoring terminal can also be any computer with internet access.
(2) Screen operation function
It adopts multi-window technology, allowing operators to operate multiple screens while working, and has functions such as screen roaming, navigation and zooming.
(3) System clock synchronization
It has interfaces with various GPS clocks, uses the received GPS standard clock to synchronize the time of the entire system network, and ensures that the clocks of all computers in the system remain consistent.
In the absence of GPS or in the event of GPS malfunction, the main server of the dispatch control center system sends time synchronization commands to other computers within the network, using the local clock as the reference, to ensure that the clocks of all computers in the network are synchronized. Simultaneously, the system actively synchronizes the time of each station control system via the communication network, unifying the time across the entire network.
(4) Configuration definition function
The system can be defined and generated through configuration methods. It can be customized into a personalized system according to different application needs. Each software function module can be centralized on one node or distributed on multiple nodes.
(5) Redundancy and fault tolerance
The software supports multiple servers to jointly undertake SCADA tasks. Even if a single machine (server) malfunctions, the system can still operate normally without affecting the operation and use of the system, ensuring uninterrupted system operation.
(6) Data interface and secondary development functions
The system incorporates a target-oriented integrated development environment, and system resources can be accessed through standardized and open data access interfaces. Users and third-party suppliers can perform secondary development on this basis according to their professional needs to complete different applications.
(7) Forwarding function
It receives and responds to instructions from the higher-level monitoring center and forwards them to the next-level monitoring unit.
(8) Long-distance diagnosis and protection function
By viewing the equipment diagrams and communication network diagrams of the web-based system, one can observe the operating status of each computer, network, and channel within the system and determine whether the system is operating normally.
