How to work
A satellite flexographic printing press is a structure in which color units revolve around a central, extra-large pressure roller, with the central impression cylinder driving the rotation of the surrounding color units.

The Hexin project requires two control systems:
1. Winding and unwinding and spindle frequency conversion control, ink stirring heating (Hexin CTS7-200 series PLC control); (not described in detail)
2. Synchronizes the six printing roller units with the central printing roller, enabling automatic adjustment of the synchronization zone during equipment registration and bag length changes. (Hexin CTH300-C series control)
Hexin Control Scheme
Based on years of experience in automation, Comotion adopted the Comotion® motion control platform.
The entire system comprises a CTH300-C series motion controller (C36) with integrated motion and sequence control functions , and a high-response, high-precision servo drive system (H1A) . The PLC follows the encoder of the central printing roller via a cam mechanism. Servo motors drive the printing roller units, and electronic cams synchronize the six printing roller units with the central printing roller, enabling equipment registration and automatic synchronization zone adjustment when changing bag lengths. The overall configuration uses the EtherCAT communication solution, a high-end, reasonable, and economical choice.
