SCHURTER introduces its new FMABHV series of filters, expanding its successful chassis-mount filter portfolio into single-phase systems. This series is suitable for equipment operating up to 277V AC and 400V DC. In North America, there are various single-phase applications in three-phase 480/277VAC networks. 400V DC is commonly used in the DC power supplies of modern data centers. The FMABHV single-phase filter series achieves a perfect combination of compact design and superior performance.
The new FMABHV high-voltage filter series is certified for both 277V AC and 400V DC voltages, thus providing maximum flexibility for a wide range of devices. To improve energy efficiency and/or reliability, devices with mixed AC/DC power supplies are becoming increasingly common. In these devices, FMABHV filters can be used on both the AC and DC sides.
The new filter series features a gleaming steel housing and a sealed filter base. This design effectively protects the filter regardless of the mounting method. This series is particularly suitable for devices with high symmetrical interference, such as semiconductor devices, and for applications requiring high output regulation (e.g., commercial coffee makers, hot water dispensers, and all types of industrial electronics). Due to its compact design, this series is also ideal for medical and household appliances. Variants with low leakage current <80μA (m80) or zero leakage current <5μA (m5) are available for medical devices compliant with IEC/UL60601-1.
FMABHV products are designed for IEC standards of 277VAC/277VDC and UL/CSA standards of 277VAC and 400VDC, with a current range of 1A-20A. This product series is ENEC and cURus certified and suitable for various devices conforming to IEC 60950 standards.
The filters are equipped with 6.3 x 0.8 mm quick-connect terminals. They feature metal flanges for easy mounting on a chassis. This series of filters operates in a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C.
