This is a video about the production of wrapping wire. The video comes from a motor repair shop. Because the motors they repair are of various specifications, they also manufacture and sell the wrapping wire used for repairs. It is a typical self-production and self-sales model.
Winded wire is an important type of winding wire. In large and medium-sized winding wires, when the heat resistance and mechanical strength are high, glass fiber wrapped wire is used, and appropriate adhesive varnish is applied during manufacturing.
Paper-insulated wires still hold a significant position in the field of wire insulation, primarily used in oil-immersed transformers. The resulting paper-insulated wire exhibits excellent dielectric properties, is inexpensive, and has a long lifespan. In recent years, film-insulated wires have seen rapid development, mainly including polyester film and polyimide film-insulated wires, as well as mica tape-insulated and polyesterimide film-insulated copper flat wires used in wind turbines and high-voltage motors.
1. There are reasons why the customer chose a 10kV motor.
Ms. [ Name] has conducted statistics showing that the demand for 10kV motors is greater than that for 6kV motors, and upon closer examination, this makes perfect sense. In recent years , with the implementation of energy-saving policies and the upgrading of the domestic power grid to reduce line losses , industrial and mining enterprises have increasingly opted for medium-sized 10kV motors to replace 6kV motors in order to reduce power distribution investment, resulting in a significant increase in the demand for medium-sized 10kV motors.
One of the technical challenges of this type of motor is the inter-turn insulation of the stator coils. Because the conductors are often thin , both hand-wrapping and machine-wrapping with mica tape are difficult . Using thin-film wrapped wire with its own insulation as inter-turn insulation results in poor corona resistance. Inter-turn faults account for a large proportion of high-voltage motor failures, and the reliability of inter-turn insulation is increasingly attracting attention. Some users even specify high-voltage motors requiring mica for inter-turn insulation.
In other countries, the approach taken in this regard is the widespread use of mica-wrapped wire. In recent years , research has also been conducted on inter-turn insulation with powdered mica tape. With the assistance of insulation material manufacturers and motor manufacturers, some electromagnetic wire factories have successfully developed various structures of mica-wrapped wire, which are currently being applied and promoted by many motor manufacturers.
2. Improving the insulation performance of electromagnetic wires is imperative.
Most failures and damages of rotating electric machines are caused by damage to the winding insulation , with inter-turn insulation accounting for about 50% , and the consequences of such damage are severe. Inter-turn insulation short circuits are primarily caused by the inter-turn impulse voltage exceeding the operating voltage of a portion of the winding's inter-turn insulation under various overvoltage conditions . Some are caused by mechanical damage during the manufacturing process of the coils and windings , while others are caused by partial discharge from internal gaps in high-voltage motor windings and corona corrosion of the high-voltage windings. All of these factors are directly or indirectly related to the performance of the winding wire used in the motor. With the upgrading of rotating electric machines and the increasing demand for various special-purpose and high-temperature resistant motors , the development of new types of winding wire is imperative.
