Thermocouple signal communication with DCS

2026-04-06 05:47:00 · · #1

Can the millivolt signal from a thermocouple be directly connected to a DCS card?

DCS system I/O cards come in various types. For AI signals, they can accept standard 4~20mA or 1~5V, as well as RTD or thermocouple signals; however, the type of temperature sensing element must be specified during configuration.

1. Install the transmitter directly on-site, outputting a standard 4-20mA signal.

The 2DCS can have a dedicated card unit for receiving thermocouple millivolt-level signals.
