What is
WMX3 Windows version?
Although bus motion control software is a relatively mature and stable product, its market share in China is not very high, and most companies are still using the traditional pulse + hardware control solution.
One reason is that bus applications have a high barrier to entry, making it difficult to guarantee real-time performance and stability in complex network environments. Our company's WMX3 real-time version (i.e., RTX version) has over 20 years of experience. By allocating a dedicated core and dedicated memory from a computer's multi-core CPU to the software motion control kernel, it is unaffected by Windows processes, thus ensuring real-time performance.
Another reason is that for general automation equipment with high volume and low performance requirements, the price of bus motion control software is relatively high. Therefore, our company has specially launched a WMX3 Windows version based on the existing WMX3 real-time version, which greatly reduces the price and eliminates cost concerns for customers who want to apply motion control software.

Advantages & Features
Windows version advantages▉
The biggest advantage of the WMX3 Windows version is its high cost-performance ratio and ease of use. We hope to provide lower-priced software motion control products, allowing customers to become familiar with and enjoy bus control, improve performance, simplify maintenance, reduce costs, and enjoy the convenience of the bus era as soon as possible.
The WMX3 Windows version can be directly installed on Windows 7/10 systems without requiring an additional real-time subsystem, simplifying maintenance, reducing failure rates, and ensuring long-term system stability. It also features a streamlined software architecture and optimized key functions such as single-axis control, multi-axis control, and multi-axis synchronization. It can form an economical bus control solution with EtherCAT servo, stepper, and I/O modules, suitable for devices with low real-time requirements and simple application scenarios.

Windows Version Features▉
Compared to existing similar products, the WMX3 Windows version has many highlights, specifically the following features:
① Low hardware requirements: CPU J1900 or higher, 2GB RAM, network card not limited (Intel network card recommended).
②One-click installation, simple configuration and usage steps
③ Controllable IO/single-axis motion/multi-axis simultaneous motion
④ An economical bus solution can be formed by combining EtherCAT servo, stepper, and I/O modules.
⑤ It can control up to 128 axes, with no limit on the number of I/Os, and obtains the system/axis/I/O status every 8ms.
⑥ The developed program can also be seamlessly switched to the WMX3 real-time version (for devices with high real-time requirements).

Feature Comparison ▉
The main differences and specific features of these two versions are compared in the table below:
| Functional Comparison | WMX3 Real-Time Version (RTX Version) | WMX3 Windows version① |
| Hardware Requirements | High CPU and memory requirements; network card type must be specified. | Low requirements, no network card restrictions |
| Number of control axes | 128 shafts | 128 shafts |
| Control Mode | CSP/CSV/CST/PP/PV/QT/HM | PP/PV/QT/HM |
| Axis control | Single-axis motion/multi-axis interpolation/trajectory control/user-defined commands | Multi-axis motion/multi-axis synchronization ② |
| IO control | No limit | No limit |
| Control cycle | 0.125ms-8ms | 8ms |
| Status acquisition | 0.125ms-8ms | 8ms ③ |
| application | Control of various automated equipment | Point-to-point, multi-axis simultaneous motion, automated equipment that does not have high requirements for real-time performance. |
① The Windows version is divided into a full version and an evaluation version. The evaluation version does not require a license and can control up to 64 axes, but the bus communication will automatically disconnect and issue an alarm every hour. A license for the full version of WMX3 Windows requires a computer ID.
② Multi-axis simultaneous motion refers to multiple axes starting and stopping simultaneously, without interpolation in the path.
③ Soft real-time
NEWAPPLICATIONS
Applications & Cases
Visual inspection/alignment system▉
The WMX3 Windows version allows image processing and motion control programs to be placed on the same Windows computer, greatly reducing costs, saving space and wiring, while shortening time and increasing detection speed. It provides a reliable, highly stable, and highly integrated machine vision system, making it easier to quickly and effectively implement machine vision solutions.
Automated auxiliary equipment▉
Automated auxiliary equipment such as material handling and loading/unloading is widely used in production lines. It has a small number of control axes, simple functions, and does not require interpolation. The single-axis/multi-axis control function of the WMX3 Windows version perfectly meets these requirements. Moreover, the system runs stably and smoothly, with high speed and high precision, ensuring accurate positioning.
Programming Development/Testing
Control programs can be written on ordinary computers with WMX3 Windows version installed for early-stage device development, and the programs can be switched to run in the WMX3 real-time version. It can also be used for actual debugging with various servo, stepper, and I/O modules. Built-in tools such as WMXconsole (system debugging software), EcConfigurator (network configuration and monitoring software), and ProfileAnalyzer (trajectory analysis) assist users in analysis.
