Turck's IO-Link kit box, consisting of I/O modules, sensors, and indicator lights, enables users to understand and experience the benefits of communication standards.
Experience Toolkit
Turck now offers a compact starter kit for users who want to experience the IO-Link digital communication protocol. The kit includes IO-Link devices that allow interested users to build their own IO-Link systems and gain firsthand experience with the technology.
In addition to the Turck TBEN-S IO-Link master station and four universal PNP channels, the device includes an RGB indicator and two sensors: a BI10U uprox inductive proximity switch sensor and a RU40U ultrasonic sensor. The IO-Link device provides maintenance data and user data for machine and plant condition monitoring. The kit also includes a 230V power supply unit, compatible cables ( M12-M12 and M8 Ethernet RJ45 ), and a USB memory stick for easy commissioning. The storage media contains the PACTware operating software, as well as all IO device descriptions ( IODDs ) and an IODD DTM translator.
Simple IO- Link Device Integration ( SIDI ) software enables devices to be integrated into Profinet systems without any additional software. The SIDI library on the Turck IO-Link main site includes not only all of the company's IO-Link devices, but also devices from our partners and other well-known manufacturers. Integration from other manufacturers is also available upon request. In other words, users can select IO-Link devices from the hardware catalog of a programming environment (such as TIA Portal ) just like manipulating a submodule of an I/O system . Important characteristics and parameters (such as measurement range, output signal, or pulse rate) can be modified in plain text fields.
