Nord's MAXXDRIVE® industrial gearboxes offer high output torque from 15 to 250 kNm , making them ideal for heavy-duty applications such as agitators, belt drives, mixing equipment, rolling mills, roller equipment, or crushers. Thanks to their torque-rigid, unified housing, they offer longer bearing life compared to gearboxes that require splicing, while ensuring efficient power transmission and high resistance to peak loads and shocks. Large, low-friction rolling bearings ensure high axial and radial load capacity and long service life. High-precision shaft alignment ensures quiet operation. Nord industrial gearboxes are available in parallel or right-angle configurations with speed ratios ranging from 5.54:1 to 400:1 , and auxiliary stage gearboxes with speed ratios up to 30,000:1 . They can be mounted and secured on all six sides of the gearbox.

Nord's MAXXDRIVE® XT series of 2- stage right-angle gearboxes are particularly well-suited for applications requiring low speed ratios and high power performance. As standard, this series features a robust UNICASE housing and an integrated axial fan. The addition of a surface shroud optimizes cooling airflow and achieves higher thermal efficiency, eliminating the need for additional cooling in many cases. Large roller bearings and a wide center distance increase the load capacity of the components and extend their service life.

Economic modular system
Building upon its modular systems, Nord offers complete, customized integrated drive systems for heavy-duty applications, providing a more attractive solution for price-sensitive industries. This is based on Nord's extensive range of inverters, motors, gearboxes, and additional components such as couplings, brakes, swing mounts, and many other options. For example, Nord offers a variety of drive and driven shafts, mounting hardware, sealing systems, backstops, auxiliary transmission systems, cooling systems, and condition monitoring (speed, temperature, vibration, etc.) sensors. For each application, specific functions can be configured (such as hydraulic couplings tailored to specific processes and gear sets), or Taconite seals can effectively protect shaft sealing rings from abrasive dust corrosion, ensuring smooth equipment operation.
