01. Pre-power-on checks and preparations for the machine tool
1.1 Ambient temperature
Maintain a stable ambient temperature in the workshop; the minimum temperature should not be lower than 10℃. Low ambient temperatures or large temperature fluctuations will affect product accuracy. If a cutting fluid temperature control device is available, the cutting fluid temperature should not be lower than 18℃.
1.2 Machine Tool Power Supply
The mains voltage required for the Julang machine tool is 400V AC +/-10%. Before starting the machine, please check whether the wiring terminals are secure (including checking the connection status of the circuit breaker in the workshop distribution box), whether the voltage meets the requirements, and whether the phase sequence is correct.
1.3 Before opening the main air valve of the compressed air machine tool, please purge any possible impurities from the compressed air source circuit, including the front-end pipeline and air tank, which need to be checked or purged. The compressed air pressure connected to the machine tool needs to be stabilized within a reasonable range of about 6 bar to ensure that the solid impurities, water content, and oil content in the compressed air meet the requirements of Class 4 (ISO 8573-1.4).
1.4 Lubrication System
Please check the quality and level of the central automatic lubrication unit (lubricating oil or grease), spindle lubricating oil (if applicable), and tool cutting oil mist lubricating oil (if applicable). Replace or add if necessary. If the machine tool does not have an automatic central lubrication unit, manually add grease to each axis using an grease gun until all residual grease is completely removed.
1.5 Hydraulic oil (if available)
Please check if the quality and liquid level are normal. If necessary, replace or add liquid.
1.6 Spindle coolant (if applicable)
Please check if the quality and liquid level are normal, test the concentration and pH, and replace or add if necessary.
1.7 Cutting fluid or cutting oil
Please check if the quality and liquid level are normal, and whether it has deteriorated or developed an odor. If necessary, please replace or add liquid.
1.8 Area of Motion and Transmission Components
Check the cleanliness of each shaft drive and moving part area, and check for rust or foreign objects. Clean or repair if necessary.
1.9 Machine Tool Cutting Tools
Check the condition of the tool holders required for the machine tool, whether they are rusted, whether the internal cooling rod fixing torque is normal, the condition of the cutting tools, etc., and readjust or replace them if necessary. 02. Power on the machine tool.
2.1 Turn on the main power switch of the machine tool
During startup, please pay attention to the alarm and prompt messages in the diagnostic menu. If a low battery voltage message is displayed, do not turn off the main power supply and replace the battery immediately. For replacement instructions, please refer to the machine tool operation manual.
2.2 Turn on the high voltage (Control On)
If there are no abnormal alarm messages on the screen, please release all emergency stop buttons, press the start button, and check the CNC system again for any relevant alarm messages. If there are any abnormal alarm messages, please contact the Julang service hotline for technical support following the above procedure.
2.3 Shaft Lubrication and Shaft Load Inspection
After normal startup, please run the M160 code in MDI mode to perform several central lubrication operations on the machine tool to check whether the lubrication action is normal and whether each lubrication circuit is effectively lubricated (there should be no air bubbles in the relevant pipelines of the lubrication circuit). After that, perform the manual control operation of low speed return to the reference point, and at the same time check whether the load of each axis is normal in the diagnostic interface.
2.4 Spindle Preheating
For preheating the machine tool spindle, it is recommended to manually edit the program to make the spindle rotate at low speed for more than 30 minutes before executing the automatic preheating program.
2.5 Tool Magazine and Exchange Table Functional Testing
Before testing tool changing and table changing, it is necessary to ensure that each step of the tool changing and table changing action and signal is normal and there is no interference or collision.
2.6 Machine tool warm-up operation
Run the machine tool's warm-up program to perform an empty cycle. Check that all functions are working properly.
