What are the types of load cells?

1. In a dynamic sensor, the natural vibration frequency of an elastic element is proportional to the square root of the applied force. By measuring the change in the natural frequency, the force exerted on the elastic element by the measured object can be determined, and thus its mass can be calculated.

2. Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor: The sensing process of a fiber Bragg grating sensor is to obtain sensor information by modulating the Bragg wavelength of the fiber optic cable with external physical parameters. It is a type of wavelength modulation fiber optic sensor.

3. Resistance strain gauge sensor: The resistance strain gauge is tightly bonded to the substrate with a special adhesive. When the substrate is subjected to force and deforms, the strain gauge deforms along with it, thereby changing the resistance value of the strain gauge. The change in resistance is converted into an electrical signal by a Wheatstone bridge, thus completing the process of changing external force into an electrical signal.

4. Electromagnetic force balance sensor: The weighing process of the electromagnetic force balance sensor is based on the Ampere force. A weighing pan is added to the wire. The weight of the weighing pan and the wire itself is downward, while the current-carrying wire will be subjected to an upward electromagnetic force. When the current value of the wire reaches a certain value, the two forces are balanced, and the sensor is in a balanced state.

5. Hydraulic sensor: The hydraulic sensor utilizes the fact that the hydraulic oil pressure is proportional to the weight (mass) of the object being measured. By simply measuring the increase in hydraulic oil pressure, the mass of the object can be obtained.

6. Capacitive sensors: Capacitive sensors are a type of sensor that converts the measured mechanical quantity, such as pressure or displacement, into a change in capacitance. Their sensitive component, the capacitor, typically consists of two parallel electrodes with air filling between them.

7. Magnetic pole variation sensor: When the ferromagnetic element of the magnetic pole variation sensor undergoes mechanical deformation under the gravity of the object being measured, internal stress is generated, causing a change in magnetic permeability. This results in a change in the induced voltage of the secondary coils wound on both sides of the ferromagnetic element (magnetic pole). By measuring the change in voltage, the force applied to the magnetic pole can be calculated, thereby determining the mass of the object being measured.

8. Electrical sensors, including photoelectric sensors, include two types: grating type and code disk type. The basic working principle of a grating type sensor is to convert the angular displacement of the moiré fringes formed by the grating into a photoelectric signal; the photocell receives the light signal through the code disk and converts it into an electrical signal, which is then processed by the circuit to obtain the measurement result.
