How to use fiber optic sensors?
I. Basic Components
The appearance of this series of fiber optic sensors is basically composed of the following aspects, from left to right:
1. SET button: This button is used to set the sensitivity. The basic principle of this sensor is: to obtain a digital signal by sensing the refractive index of different media using an optical fiber probe, which is then displayed on the mobile phone screen. The value displayed is compared with the set sensitivity value to send a switching signal.
2. Indicator light: This light changes its brightness when the sensor outputs a signal.
3. "Set Sensitivity Value" will be displayed in green on the phone screen, indicating the currently set sensitivity value. When the value collected by the probe changes to this value, the sensor generates a signal.
4. "Current Sensitivity Value" is displayed in red on the phone screen, showing the value currently collected by the sensor.
5. The "Select" button, along with the left and right arrows, allows you to select various functions, similar to page up/down buttons.
6. "Mode Selection Button": This button can be used to set different working modes.
II. Wiring Method
Fiber Optic Sensor Debugging and Usage Method
1. Fully Automatic Calibration: When the workpiece enters the sensitive area of the probe, press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds. The sensitivity value will be set and displayed in green.
2. Two-point calibration: When the workpiece is not in the sensitive area, press and hold the "SET" key for three seconds to memorize one sensitive value. Then place the workpiece in the sensitive area and press and hold the "SET" key for three seconds to memorize another sensitive value. When the sensitive value changes from one value to another, the sensor generates a level change.
3. General Calibration: You can also increase or decrease the sensitivity setting by pressing the "Select" button and the left and right keys.
4. Position calibration: When the workpiece has not entered the sensitive area, press and hold the "SET" key for three seconds, then place the workpiece at the corresponding distance from the probe, press and hold the "SET" key for three seconds, and a sensitive value will be memorized. When the workpiece reaches this position each time, the sensor will generate a level change.
5. Normally open and normally closed setting
Press the rightmost switch selection button to choose whether the internal switch is normally closed or normally open.
