Characteristics of aluminum substrate surface mount terminals
1. Reduce damage to the PCB board caused by improper drilling.
2. The plastic shell is made of heat-resistant polyurethane elastomer raw material to ensure V-0 fire resistance rating.
3. It can be welded using the flow-to-weld method. The plastic shell is heat-resistant up to 260℃ with a delay time of 15-30 seconds.
4. No holes need to be drilled in PCB boards, aluminum substrates, or copper-based carbon steel plates. Electronic components can be mounted on both sides of PCB boards, aluminum substrates, or copper-based carbon steel plates, greatly improving the utilization rate of the surface.
5. The top of the surface mount terminal is shielded by a heat-resistant glass chuck, saving time and effort compared to the vacuum chuck of the surface mount machine. All terminals can be packaged in tape and reel, allowing for automated mechanical installation, greatly improving the efficiency and reliability of soldering.
6. Some PCB surfaces are not perfectly flat. WECO's SMD surface-mount terminals, through their unique "wave anchor" technology, ensure complete conformity between electronic components and the PCB, guaranteeing 100% coplanarity. This results in strong welds and extremely high peel strength. This is precisely the major technical challenge of surface-mount terminals. Because the terminals must withstand significant mechanical stress, the spacing between the terminals and the PCB must be very strong to ensure that the terminals do not detach from the surface when subjected to external forces.
Application of aluminum substrate surface mount terminals
Surface-mount terminals and RF connectors are not only used in LED lighting fixtures, but also widely used in the following fields where LEDs are based on aluminum substrates or copper-based carbon steel plates:
1. High-frequency amplitude amplifier;
2. High-frequency power inverter for solar power generation;
3. Communication and electronic products;
4. Office collaboration system software and industrial equipment;
5. DC servo motors, etc.;
6. Power supply equipment: power switch controller, DC/AC converter, SW control board, etc.;
7. Audio output mechanical equipment: input and output amplifiers, equalizers, audio amplifiers, preamplifiers, power amplifiers, etc.
Of course, SMD surface-mount terminals are not limited to the above fields; they can also be used in traditional industrial automation, smart home control, heating, HVAC, DC and AC servo motors, and other fields.
