Introduction to the Human-Machine Interface of SCADA System

A Human Machine Interface (HMI) is a device that displays the status of a program, allowing relevant personnel to monitor and control the program.

The human-machine interface will link to the SCADA system's database and software, read relevant information, and present trends, diagnostic data, and management information collected by the relevant system to the relevant staff in the form of images.

Through the human-machine interface of the SCADA system, relevant personnel can see a schematic diagram of the system to be controlled.

At the same time, the human-machine interface software of SCADA systems is often equipped with drawing software. Through it, relevant personnel can modify the way the system is presented on the human-machine interface. It can be simple or complex, depending on the different systems and user needs.

Warning handling is also a crucial component of SCADA systems. The system monitors specified conditions as needed, and by checking whether certain "warning conditions" are met, it can determine if a corresponding warning event has occurred. If so, the system will issue an alert in a specific manner, allowing the personnel operating the SCADA system to take appropriate action.

Warning conditions can be explicit or implicit. They can be pop-ups on the screen or flashing indicators of a specific color in a specific area.

In a SCADA system, a warning can be a warning point, a warning indication, or the warning event itself.
