On August 27, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) released its 48th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"). The Report shows that the BeiDou system has been applied in multiple industrial internet fields, generating significant economic and social benefits.
The report points out that in the power industry, the application of technologies such as the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and 5G has enabled the use of drones for intelligent inspections, improving the working environment for workers. For example, the "5G+BeiDou Intelligent Inspection Drone" project in Qingdao, Shandong Province, has achieved secure, real-time, and reliable data transmission from drone inspections by introducing the BeiDou system. This has solved the problems of long hours, high manpower requirements, and harsh working environments faced by traditional manual inspections of transmission lines, significantly reducing safety risks.
Meanwhile, in the mining industry, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, integrated Beidou high-precision positioning and vehicle networking technology into the construction of the "5G Green and Intelligent Mine and Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources" project. This enabled unmanned mining trucks to drive autonomously and form collaborative convoys, and to perform cluster scheduling of vehicles within the operating area. This effectively solved the problem of safe driving in the mining area and improved equipment operating efficiency by more than 10%.
In the future, with the assistance of the BeiDou system, comprehensive connectivity of people, machines, things, and systems will enable industrial digitalization, networking, and intelligence, promoting the continuous and in-depth development of the industrial internet.
