Safety light curtain
Autonics leverages its expertise in developing industrial sensors (such as zone sensors and mapping sensors) to create the SFL series (standard) and SFLA series (high-performance) safety light curtain systems, compliant with major international standards and regulations. These products incorporate finger/hand/human body detection and various safety features, allowing for flexible adaptation to various field conditions. Furthermore, the atLightCurtain software, focused on user convenience, provides real-time monitoring and automatic shielding/blank area setup.
Common characteristics
• Product structure complies with international safety standards/regulations (Category 4 ESPE (AOPD), SIL3, SIL CL3, Category 4, PLe, CE, UL certification, S-Mark).
• Features three detection functions: finger, hand, and hand-human body, allowing you to select the appropriate mode based on the environment.
• Built-in safety features allow for flexible response to on-site conditions, and self-diagnostic capabilities
- Security-related: interlocking, locking, EDM, shielding, overlaying, blanking, reducing resolution, etc.
- Self-diagnostics: including prevention of mutual interference, ambient light detection, and fault sensor detection.
• Configure the appropriate detection distance mode (Short/Long mode) and control output settings (NPN/PNP output) according to the installation environment.
• Read the action status via a 7-segment display and LED indicators.
• Top and bottom beam indicators make it easy to adjust the beam.
• The top output indicator light shows the received/blocked status and the shielded status, eliminating the need for additional indicator lights.
• Four non-safety outputs for various applications (two AUX outputs and two LED outputs).
• Use LightCurtain's dedicated software for detailed function settings.
Multiple models are available for various applications.
Finger detection (Ø14 mm), hand detection (Ø20 mm), and hand-body detection (Ø30 mm) models are available for various user environments.
Easy to install
Users can check the received light status using the beam indicator lights on the top and bottom of the unit during installation. Standard and adjustable brackets are provided, allowing it to be mounted on the top, bottom, or center of the device. The adjustable bracket can be adjusted 15 degrees to the left or right for easier installation.

Ultra-thin design, durable
The ultra-thin dimensions are W 29 mm x L 35 mm, and it comes with a hardened casing to protect the screen area.
The dedicated software provided is atLightCurtain
atLightCutain is dedicated software for the SFL/SFLA series, providing function settings and monitoring. This software allows operators to configure safety functions in the shielding, blanking, and parameter menus, and monitor received light levels/wiring, switch/error, and warning indicators.
