On September 7, XPeng Motors' ecosystem company, Pengxing Intelligent, released the world's first rideable intelligent robotic horse. Based on Pengxing Intelligent's innovative quadrupedal robot architecture design, the intelligent robotic horse has multi-dimensional environmental perception, agile and stable movement, and intelligent emotional interaction capabilities, and is positioned as "XPeng users' first smart transportation tool".
This intelligent robotic horse possesses an automotive-grade intelligent driving system that can identify the environment and objects, build maps, and plan paths through cameras and LiDAR. It also features autonomous movement, target following, and automatic obstacle avoidance.
In addition, the robotic horse has powerful voice interaction, facial and voiceprint recognition capabilities, can express emotions through the facial screen, and has tactile perception.
The robotic horse, equipped with specialized loading accessories, provides transport functionality anytime, anywhere, whether you're picking up goods, shopping, jogging at night, or hiking.
He Xiaopeng, chairman of XPeng Motors, said that if intelligent cars are the crown of intelligent manufacturing, then intelligent robots will be the crown of machine intelligence.
XPeng will extend its existing capabilities in autonomous driving, intelligent voice, and intelligent manufacturing to the field of intelligent robots. Our first goal is to create a low-speed intelligent transportation robot (a robotic horse, nicknamed Little White Dragon). We will use the same model as building intelligent cars to build intelligent robots, and we will completely reconstruct the entire technology system using deep learning and reinforcement learning, so that it can be ridden, talk, and pick up packages, while also paying great attention to safety and quality.
Pengxing team has been established for five years, but has started to expand rapidly in the past year. In the future, it will need at least several thousand outstanding R&D talents. We look forward to more people who are interested in this direction joining us, including those from Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing and the United States, including those in the automotive and AI systems, including mid-to-high-level professionals.
Starting a business with intelligent robots is extremely difficult, but we still hope that in a few years, we can use the robots we make to help us with housework, do many different fun things, and even become our new friends.
