How to replace the brushes of Tengyang electric sweeper

2026-04-06 06:15:34 · · #1

The Tengyang electric ride-on sweeper mainly relies on the brushes on both sides and the main brush to clean up foreign objects. After long-term use, the brushes will wear out and affect the cleaning. At this time, the brushes need to be replaced. So how do you replace the brushes of the Tengyang electric ride-on sweeper ?

Main brush replacement:

First, press the main brush button. Once the main brush has lowered to the ground and is in standby mode, turn off the power.

Unscrew the screws on both sides of the side panel, open the side panel, and first check which side allows you to replace the main brush. Normally, the right side is driven by a bearing and cannot be disassembled, while the left side is the main brush rocker arm. Therefore, this is the side where you can replace the main brush.

First, unscrew the two Allen screws on the rocker arm and remove it. Usually, one shaft of the rocker arm is embedded in the main brush. After removing the rocker arm, you'll see the side guard. Now, unscrew screw number 2 on the guard plate. There's also a main brush guard on the side, secured by six screws; unscrew them one by one to easily remove the main brush.

Normally, there are no bearings on the sides of the new main brush. We need to install the bearings from the main brush that was just removed onto the new main brush to prevent the main brush from becoming uneven or wobbly.

Previously, when disassembling the main brush, we paid attention to the positions of both sides. We inserted the main brush in the previous order, aligning one side of the shaft with the bearing drive, and then rotated the main brush a few times. This made it easy to install the main brush.

Following the order in which we disassembled the main brush, tighten the screws one by one. Next, we need to check the distance between the main brush and the ground. If the brush is too low, adjust the main brush upwards to prevent it from wearing out easily.

Side brush replacement: How to install and remove the side brush of a sweeper

1. Lower the brush, but don't lower it all the way to the bottom, there is enough space to replace it.

2. Rotate the side brush to locate the Allen screw on the shaft.

3. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the screws. After it is loosened, use both hands to pat the side brush downwards.

4. Take out a new side brush, align the shaft with the side brush motor, and push upwards with both hands until the side brush touches the side brush motor.

5. Tighten the screws with a wrench. Note: Because the previous brush was severely worn and the bristles were short, while the new brush has longer bristles, we need to adjust the distance of the side brushes.
