On September 11, media reported that a fire-fighting robot capable of withstanding temperatures of over 1,000 degrees Celsius attracted attention at the 2021 World Robot Conference in Beijing.
It is reported that this firefighting robot was manufactured by Lisheng High-Tech Co., Ltd. When the intact robot was placed in a furnace, its tracks were red-hot when it was removed, but it was still able to function.
Staff explained that this robot can replace firefighters to go deep into the fire scene to carry out fire rescue operations.
In practical applications, firefighting robots can replace firefighters in high-risk environments such as flammable and explosive, high temperature, toxic and corrosive, and dense smoke and oxygen deficiency. On the one hand, they can directly enter the fire scene for "zero-distance" reconnaissance, providing first-hand data for on-site rescue command and decision-making.
On the other hand, it can accurately strike the fire source at close range, improving fire extinguishing efficiency. At the same time, it can cool down the area before firefighters enter the fire scene, isolate the core area of the fire, open up a wider working area for firefighters, and reduce the difficulty of extinguishing fires in the outer fire scene.
