A single cable transmits multiple different signals

Recently, Lin Haoyuan, spokesperson for the HDBaseT Alliance in China, announced in Beijing that the HDBaseT Alliance will recruit new members at the International Consumer Electronics Show in January to combat the increasing use of audio/video cables and power harnesses in home entertainment environments.

"Its main 'weapon' is HDBaseT technology, which is driven by Valens chips and can transmit high-definition video, audio, power, control signals and Ethernet signals through a single, inexpensive cable," said Lin Haoyuan. "If every household used such a product, then the annoying, ubiquitous cables would disappear."

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive demonstration of HDBaseT multimedia home connectivity and experience firsthand how multiple single-core transmission televisions can receive high-definition video, audio, network, power, and control signals with just one HDBaseT interface.

The HDBaseT Alliance was established in 2010 by LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Sony Entertainment, and Valens Semiconductor, with the aim of promoting and standardizing HDBaseT technology.
