French nuclear company Areva recently signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with Novinium, a US expert in underground cable "revival," to jointly develop nuclear industry cable "revival" technology.
Areva stated that it will collaborate with Novinium to develop safe, innovative, and cost-effective "resurrection" technologies to extend the lifespan of nuclear-grade cables.
Tom Franch, Vice President of Reactor Services at Areva, said, "This collaboration will help us further improve the safety, extend the service life, and ensure the reliability of cables for our customers. This is also an important consideration when nuclear power plants are delayed."
This is also part of Areva's "Forward Alliance" plan to improve the safety and stability of nuclear power plants and extend their operating time.
"Many nuclear power plant operators are now willing to use this method to improve cable reliability and reduce operating costs," said Glen, CEO of Novinium.
