The China Industrial Energy Conservation and Cleaner Production Association recently held a scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting in Beijing for "Energy-saving Copper-clad Aluminum Busbar".
The experts listened to the technical report, on-site test report, novelty search report, and user application report of Guangdong Rizhao Electric Co., Ltd. on the development of energy-saving copper-clad aluminum tube busbars. They reviewed the appraisal materials, inspected the results samples and production site, and conducted rated current temperature rise and insulation withstand voltage level tests on the samples.
Following questioning and discussion, experts unanimously stated that Rizhao Electric's products passed performance tests conducted by the Electric Power Industry Electrical Equipment Quality Inspection and Testing Center, including rated current temperature rise and insulation withstand voltage tests. The results were satisfactory, and the technical performance indicators met the requirements of the enterprise standard Q/BLRZ2-2013 "Energy-Saving Copper-Clad Aluminum Busbar" and relevant national standards. The products were also sampled on-site by the appraisal committee's testing team, and the results were satisfactory. Furthermore, an evaluation by SGS (SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. Energy Efficiency and Low Carbon Services Department) showed that, under 4000A conditions, the copper-clad aluminum busbar demonstrated significantly better energy savings compared to copper busbars.
Experts stated that the energy-saving copper-clad aluminum tube busbar features a novel structural design that improves the effective utilization rate of copper, increases the effective cross-section of the conductor for current carrying, and reduces the current density non-uniformity coefficient. This reduces the rated current temperature rise to ≤30K, achieving excellent results in reducing line losses, improving the safe operation performance of the busbar in hot environments, extending the life of insulation materials, saving copper, reducing conductor weight, and enhancing mechanical strength. This achievement fills a domestic gap and its technology is at an internationally advanced level.
The participating experts unanimously agreed to approve the technical evaluation of the achievement. The experts concluded that Risho Electric's production site, process equipment, and testing equipment meet production requirements. They recommended further strengthening applied theoretical research and process optimization design, and establishing and improving relevant standards.
