The first type: charging pile
Charging stations are the most common supporting facilities for electric vehicles, similar in function to gas pumps at gas stations. They can be fixed to the ground or walls and installed in public buildings such as office buildings, shopping malls, and public parking lots, as well as in residential parking lots or inside charging stations. They charge different models of electric vehicles according to different voltage levels. The input end of the charging station connects to the AC power grid, and the output end is equipped with a charging plug for charging electric vehicles.
Charging stations generally offer two charging methods: regular charging and fast charging. Car owners can use a specific charging card to swipe at the charging station's user interface, select the appropriate charging method and charging time, and even print out payment information. The charging station's display screen shows the charging amount, cost, and charging time, among other relevant data.
The second type: wireless car charging
Currently, there are two main types of wireless charging for cars: electromagnetic induction and magnetic resonance.
First, in the electromagnetic induction type, the primary coil has alternating current of a certain frequency, which generates a certain current in the secondary coil through electromagnetic induction, thereby transferring energy from the transmitting end to the receiving end.
Secondly, there is the magnetic resonance type. This type consists of an energy transmitting device and an energy receiving device. When these two devices are tuned to the same frequency, or resonate at a specific frequency, they can exchange energy with each other.
Undoubtedly, the biggest advantage of wireless charging is that it eliminates the need for cables. During the charging process of an electric vehicle, users are spared the three steps of getting out of the car, unplugging the charging gun, and plugging the charging gun back in.
The third type: Switching station
This type of energy station provides charging and rapid battery swapping for electric vehicles. Electric vehicles must replenish their electrical energy to continue operating. Similarly, in the case of rapid battery swapping, the battery pack is removed from the vehicle and charged using specific methods. These methods include AC, DC, and voltage-limiting and current-limiting methods. The choice of charging method depends on the required current, voltage, and charging time.
There are two main charging methods: charging the entire vehicle and charging the battery separately from the vehicle body. These methods include fast charging, regular charging, and slow charging. Similarly, when quickly replacing the car battery, the battery pack is charged using a specific method after being removed from the vehicle. Different battery characteristics require different charging methods.
