Due to the superior adhesion, durability, and optical properties of EVA film, it is being used more and more widely in current components and various optical products.
Advantages of photovoltaic EVA film
1. High transparency and high adhesion make it suitable for various interfaces, including glass, metal and plastics such as PET.
2. Good durability can resist high temperature, moisture, ultraviolet rays, etc.
3. Easy to store. When stored at room temperature, the adhesive strength of EVA is not affected by humidity or absorbent film.
4. Compared to PVB, it has a stronger sound insulation effect, especially for high-frequency sound effects.
5. Low melting point, easy to flow, suitable for various glass lamination processes, such as patterned glass, tempered glass, curved glass, etc.
The role of encapsulant film in photovoltaic modules is to bond photovoltaic glass, solar cells, and backsheet together, while also protecting the solar cells and isolating them from air. It accounts for 3%-4% of the cost of the module.
Photovoltaic films are broadly categorized into two types: EVA films and POE films. EVA films include traditional transparent EVA films, white EVA films, and others (such as anti-PID films). POE films include cross-linked, thermoplastic, white, and co-extruded types. EVA photovoltaic films account for over 80% of the market, making them the undisputed mainstream product.
