In May 2018, CRRC Electric unveiled its new generation of 12-meter hydrogen fuel cell-powered lithium battery buses with intelligent assisted driving functions in Guangzhou, attracting much attention.
Burning one gram of hydrogen releases 142 kilojoules of heat, equivalent to three times the heat output of gasoline, with the only byproduct being water and no ash or exhaust gases. So, how about operating a CRRC Electric 12-meter hydrogen fuel cell-powered lithium-ion battery bus?
CRRC's electric hydrogen fuel cell-powered lithium battery bus adopts CRRC's unique "T" power system, with wheel-side motors that provide strong power and eliminate the need for mechanical differentials. The vehicle has a short refueling time, a range of over 500km, and a cold start temperature as low as -30℃. All electrical components are electrified and permanent magnetized, making it safer and more efficient. With an energy conversion efficiency of over 50%, it only emits water, making it a truly green and environmentally friendly bus.
The vehicle features a fully load-bearing frame structure, employing a 30% high-strength steel hybrid approach and utilizing multiple lightweight new materials. This not only reduces the overall weight of the vehicle but also makes it robust and reliable. The three doors are fully open, and the low floor design (less than 340mm off the ground) allows for easy passenger access.
Meanwhile, this hydrogen fuel cell-powered lithium battery bus also has a smart "brain," equipped with "intelligent assisted driving" functions. Targeting the global high-end market, it incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as a 360-degree surround view monitoring system, adaptive intelligent driving, lane departure warning, and collision avoidance warning to achieve intelligent assisted driving, bringing greater safety and comfort to the driver.
