A servo driver drives an actuator motor under the influence of control signals; therefore, the proper functioning of the driver directly affects the overall performance of the equipment. In a servo control system, the servo driver is like the brain, and the actuator motor is like the hands and feet. The role of the servo driver in the servo control system is to regulate the motor speed, thus it is also an automatic speed control system.

How a servo driver works
The core of the driver is the main control board. The driver uses a relay board to transmit control and detection signals to complete the dual closed-loop control shown in the diagram above, including speed regulation and current regulation, thereby achieving speed control and commutation control of the actuator motor. The driver board receives signals from the main control board to drive the power conversion circuit, ensuring the normal operation of the actuator motor.
Servo driver internal structure:
The internal structure of a servo driver consists of a power supply circuit, a relay board circuit, a main control board circuit, a driver board circuit, and a power conversion circuit. The power supply circuit converts externally input DC power into DC outputs of varying magnitudes to provide DC power to the subsequent relay board, driver board, and power conversion circuit. The relay board provides DC power to transmit control and detection signals.
Main circuit wiring:
1) Connection of R, S, T power lines;
2) Wiring between the servo driver U, V, W and the servo motor power lines U, V, W;
Control power supply wiring:
1) Wiring of the r and t control power supplies;
2) Wiring of I/O port control power supply;
