Welcome to Dongyong's Little Knowledge Classroom! Learn just one minute a day to keep up with the times, expand your knowledge, and become a master is not a dream!
Dongdong once conducted some surveys and found that among most users who had never been exposed to IoT cloud platforms, some thought they were e-commerce platforms that sell things, while others, because of the word "cloud," thought they were big data platforms (which are indeed related).
So what is an IoT cloud platform? In fact, it is an M2M technology architecture based on enterprise cloud and oriented towards industry applications. Simply put, it can realize functions such as remote control of devices, terminal authentication, data collection, analysis, transmission, visualization, cost reduction and efficiency improvement for different types of users.
Let's take the Dongyong Technology ORB305 industrial router and its built-in cloud assistant platform as an example to help everyone understand quickly.
The customer's on-site PLCs connect to Beijing Dongyong Technology's ORB305 industrial wireless router via Ethernet/serial ports. The router connects to the network via 4G/5G or Ethernet ports, and its built-in cloud assistant client connects to our remote maintenance platform, establishing a VPN encrypted tunnel. Each customer's on-site ORB305 industrial router establishes a VPN encrypted connection with the remote maintenance platform to ensure that the enterprise intranet can access and maintain each on-site PLC device at any time.
Regardless of their location, customer or manufacturer maintenance engineers can establish a network connection between the field equipment and the PC by installing Dongyong Technology's Equipment Express software on their Windows computers and connecting to the remote maintenance platform via a VPN encrypted tunnel. This creates a local area network (LAN) between the PC and the field equipment. Engineers can quickly connect to the field equipment or data acquisition units and use the appropriate programming software to remotely upload and download PLC programs, perform online debugging, and other operations. Online diagnostics of the PLC program can pinpoint equipment faults and facilitate troubleshooting. The equipment's operating status can be transmitted remotely to the remote maintenance center in real time. Professional engineers can then promptly identify faults and malfunctioning components, allowing for timely notification of maintenance personnel.
With this solution, engineers can remotely maintain the center to debug programs and monitor the status and operation of field equipment, regardless of their location, without having to go to the equipment site.
