Company Introduction

Physik Nano Displacement Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established with investment from the German multinational company Physik Instrumente (PI) GmbH & Co. KG. Founded on January 15, 2003, the company is located in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, Pudong, one of Shanghai's most renowned high-tech parks.

For many years, PI's products have been renowned for their high quality and innovative technology. While providing the best product quality, PI also offers users innovative technical services and optimal solutions. From precision machining to digital and analog control circuits, from sub-nanometer capacitive position sensors to the proprietary PICMA piezoelectric ceramic actuator, PI has mastered a full range of key technologies. This strong technological capability drives the continuous advancement of micron- and nanometer positioning technologies, making PI a partner of numerous high-tech companies and renowned laboratories worldwide.

Today, whether in metrology, microscopy, life sciences, laser technology, precision machining technology; whether in semiconductor technology, data storage technology, optoelectronics/fiber optics, astronomy and other fields, PI's products and technologies are being used more and more widely and are winning more and more praise.

Physik Instrumente (PI) has expanded its portfolio of industrial precision automation products with the new V-855 and V-857 high-load linear platform series. As a result, PI now offers cost-effective positioning systems for machining and inspection tasks requiring high speed and high repeatability over long strokes. These series are particularly suitable for electronics manufacturing and micro-assembly applications, sensor testing, or inkjet printing processes.

Powerful and affordable: The V-855 and V-857 high-load linear platform series enable fast and highly repeatable positioning in industrial precision automation.

Gantry configurations based on three linear platforms: X-axis: V-857; Y-axis: V-817; Z-axis: L-812

The linear platform is designed for industrial applications with high duty cycles over long strokes: the three-phase linear motor with circulating ball bearing guides can achieve a constant load of 1000 N, an acceleration of 5 m/s², and a speed of 5000 mm/s.

High-resolution linear encoders also ensure high tracking accuracy, minimal tracking error, and short settling time. The calibrated bidirectional repeatability of the linear platform is ±0.5 micrometers.

Multiple possible combinations and simple machine integration

For multi-axis applications, linear platforms can be easily combined with gantry units. These axes can be assembled individually thanks to the optional motion platform and triple M6 bore. Thanks to its ultra-thin design with a maximum width of 132 mm, it can be integrated into compact machine components in a space-saving manner. Furthermore, the linear motor platform is designed to be configurable, allowing it to be combined with additional linear axes to form powerful gantry or split-bridge systems.

Industry-standard control devices

For controlling the V-855 and V-857 linear platforms, PI offers the G-901 19-inch rack-mount electrical control solution, which combines an ACS motion controller and drives for up to four axes with an integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) module. Alternatively, modular ACS drives (such as UDMpa) that can be combined with powerful ACS motion controllers or third-party control solutions can be used.
