Background Introduction

In-wheel motors, also known as in-wheel motors, are currently mainly used in the rear power hubs of electric bicycles. Their most significant feature is the high integration of the power, transmission, and braking systems, making them a drive technology with great development potential.

External winding machines are divided into single-head and double-head types. They are mainly used to regularly wind copper wire onto the stator of hub motors. Their working stability affects the quality of the hub motors produced. Improper winding can cause the current passing through the motor to be too small or too large, affecting the normal operation of the equipment.

Equipment Introduction

The external winding machine mainly consists of a winding section, a clamping section, a turntable section, and a clamping cylinder.

1. Winding section ---------------------

It consists of a cable tray shaft and a fly fork shaft. While the fly fork rotates, the cable tray shaft moves forward or backward synchronously. The two work together to wind the copper wire onto the slot of the motor stator.

2. Chuck section ---------------------

When winding, if the groove is changed to a multi-layered wire, the chuck needs to move to different positions when changing layers, and it needs to be opened after winding is completed. In addition, the chuck also needs to determine whether to go to the fixed winding clamping position based on whether there is a fixed winding.

3. Turntable section ---------------------

If you need to change slots to continue winding after the winding is completed, the turntable will rotate in the set direction. The number of slots and the direction of rotation can be set by yourself: setting a positive number will rotate in the forward direction, and setting a negative number will rotate in the reverse direction. The speed of crossing slots and crossing groups must be separated.

4. Pressing cylinder---------------------

Used to press the hub stator tightly during the winding process, making the wiring on the single groove tight.
