Upon receiving the worm gear box, first check if the inner bore of the worm gear head, keyway, and the flange of the device housing match the valve stem shaft, key, and valve body mounting flange. After confirming everything is correct, install the device onto the valve. Turn the handwheel on the device and adjust the limit screw so that the indicator needle on the indicator dial points to CLOSE when fully closed and OPEN when fully open. For worm gear boxes that experience frequent opening and closing, check the grease level approximately every two months by opening the worm gear box cover; maintain an appropriate amount of grease. Remember, if the worm gear cannot be closed tightly with force, use a lever to assist slightly; do not apply excessive force, otherwise the box may crack.
