Lithium-ion battery electric vehicles, also known as lithium-ion battery electric vehicles, refer to electric vehicles equipped with lithium-ion batteries. Pure electric vehicles, with their ability to truly achieve "zero emissions," have become a crucial direction for the development of electric vehicles. Lithium-ion batteries, thanks to their superior performance, have become the ideal power source for the next generation of electric vehicles. Let's learn about the charging instructions for lithium-ion electric vehicles and the precautions for using lithium batteries.

Lithium-ion electric vehicle charging instructions

1. Place a power source:

The battery packs all have some charge remaining before leaving the factory, which can be used for short-distance riding after the electric vehicle is sold. After the first ride, the battery must be charged for the first time, and it is recommended that the first charge be carried out for a relatively long time (8-12 hours).

Battery packs should be charged promptly after use and should not be stored at a low charge. If batteries are left unused for more than two months, they need to be fully charged. If stored for more than five months, they need to undergo a charge-discharge cycle. Regular use of the batteries, including charging them regularly during normal use and extended periods of storage, will ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.

2. Normal charging:

First, connect the charger to the battery pack being charged, then connect the charger's power plug to a 220V AC power source. (This connection sequence avoids electrical sparks when plugging and unplugging the charger.) Once the power is on, the charger will display a red indicator light, indicating that the battery pack is charging normally. A typical charging time is 6-8 hours.

3. Charger Precautions:

To ensure safe charging and extend the battery pack's lifespan, this battery pack should only be charged with the included 36V lithium-ion battery charger. If the charger is lost or damaged, please contact the authorized dealer for a replacement. Do not use lead-acid chargers or other types of chargers.

Lithium battery maintenance

1. Since lithium batteries are memory-free, it is recommended that customers regularly charge or top up the battery pack after each or daily ride. This will significantly extend the battery's lifespan. It is advised not to ride until the battery can no longer discharge before recharging, and it is not recommended to discharge the battery beyond 90% of its capacity. When the low-voltage indicator light illuminates on the electric vehicle while it is stationary, it should be charged promptly.

2. When starting the electric vehicle, riding on steep slopes, dirt roads, or in strong headwinds, it is recommended that customers use pedal assistance to maximize the lifespan of the battery and motor.

3. Battery capacity was measured at a normal temperature of 25℃. Therefore, a slight decrease in battery capacity and driving range during winter is considered normal. It is recommended to charge the battery pack in a warmer environment during winter to ensure it is fully charged.

4. When the electric vehicle is not being ridden or is parked, it is recommended that customers disconnect the battery pack from the electric vehicle or turn off the power lock. This is because the motor and controller consume power even when not in use, so please avoid wasting electricity.

Precautions for using lithium batteries:

1. When riding in rainy or snowy weather, the discharge port between the battery pack and the electric bicycle should not come into contact with water. When not in use, turn off the battery power switch to avoid short circuits. Also, try to avoid using the electric bicycle in harsh environments. Take precautions to protect the battery pack from water.

2. Batteries should be stored away from water and fire, kept dry, and protected from strong shaking, impacts, and short circuits. In summer, batteries should be kept out of direct sunlight.

3. Special reminder: Do not disassemble, modify or damage the battery without authorization; it is strictly forbidden to use this battery in other brands or models of electric vehicles; avoid short-circuiting the charging and discharging ports with foreign objects during use.
