Be wary of placing lithium-ion batteries near heat sources, open flames, flammable and explosive gases or liquids, as this could lead to battery leakage, overheating, smoke, fire, or explosion.
For lithium-ion batteries that need to be stored for a long time (more than one month), it is recommended to charge them to 40%-60% and to recharge them for 12 hours every month during storage.
During the storage of lithium-ion batteries, precautions should be taken to prevent metal objects from entering the battery compartment, as this may cause leakage, overheating, smoke, fire, or explosion.
UPS power supplies generate heat during operation. During normal maintenance, pay attention to the ambient temperature of the room. Not only should the temperature not be too high, but the placement of the UPS should also be careful not to place it in direct sunlight or too close to heat sources. At the same time, it should be kept at a certain distance from walls and other equipment to avoid affecting heat dissipation.
In routine maintenance of lithium-ion battery UPS power supplies, it is important to clean and remove dust from the UPS. Not only should the surface dust be cleaned, but a blower should also be used to blow away the dust inside the casing and the dust accumulated on the fan.
If the lithium-ion battery of the UPS power supply has not experienced a power outage for a long period of time, it is necessary to discharge the battery for maintenance, ensuring that it is completely discharged before recharging.
