Low-temperature high-rate lithium-ion batteries can be used as ordinary low-temperature lithium-ion batteries, but the price will certainly be different. In low-temperature environments, they support 3C to 5C discharge rates for 3 to 5 seconds, and pulse discharge can reach approximately 55C.
High-rate low-temperature lithium-ion batteries possess the basic performance characteristics of ordinary low-temperature polymer lithium-ion batteries;
Normal discharge performance of low-temperature lithium-ion batteries:
1. High low-temperature discharge performance: at a minimum discharge rate of -40℃, the discharge efficiency is over 65% at 0.2C; at -30℃, the discharge capacity reaches 85% at 0.2C.
2. Wide operating temperature range, -50°C to 50°C;
3. Excellent low-temperature cycling performance; after 300 cycles at -30℃ with 0.5C charge/discharge, the capacity remains above 85%.
4. High safety performance, certified by UL/CE/UN;
5. Flexible dimensions; custom designs are available to meet specific customer requirements in terms of size and shape.
6. It has the capability for mass production, resulting in good battery consistency;
7. It can generate a large current and maintain a large capacity even at -40℃;
8. It can still maintain its excellent performance in an operating environment of -40℃;
Since the diurnal temperature range in most low-temperature regions of my country is between -30℃ and 38℃, with some areas reaching around -45℃, low-temperature lithium-ion batteries in these regions generally only need to operate within a temperature range of -35℃ to 65℃.
