Necessity of Industrial Robot Maintenance

Even under ideal temperature and humidity conditions, robots will inevitably experience some wear and tear during operation. This is unavoidable. If a robot is not maintained for a long period, many delicate internal structures will suffer irreversible wear, significantly shortening the robot's lifespan.

Industrial robot maintenance team

Industrial robots require regular maintenance during use. Routine maintenance includes visually inspecting for cable wear, cleaning and dusting the cooling system, and regularly backing up data.

Maintenance includes replacing and replenishing lubricating grease, replacing the encoder and controller encoder batteries, testing belt tension, and timely replacement of vulnerable parts (control cabinet contactor contacts, circuit breakers, fans, etc.).

Maintenance Precautions

Japanese and Korean robots mostly use grease, while European and American robots mostly use lubricating oil, requiring the use of different tools.

Industrial robot maintenance places very strict requirements on the parameters and dosage of lubricating oil. Using lubricating oil with the wrong viscosity can directly lead to robot damage.

Because industrial robots contain reducers and oil seals, the pressure during the lubrication process is strictly regulated. Excessive pressure can directly cause the oil seal to detach, allowing lubricating oil to enter the motor.

When replacing the battery, it is necessary to make backups and take other corresponding measures to prevent data and zero point loss.
