To determine the quality of a lithium-ion battery UPS, we typically use professional measuring instruments. However, such specialized instruments are not readily available to ordinary users. The steps are as follows:
① The method is actually very simple. First, you can judge from the appearance, just like the four diagnostic methods of traditional Chinese medicine: observation, listening, questioning, and palpation. When observing, first look at the integrity of the appearance. For example, check if there is any deformation or bulge on the appearance of the lithium-ion battery UPS. If such a situation occurs, it means that the internal chemical structure of the lithium-ion battery has been damaged, and it should be eliminated first.
② In addition to observing the deformation, you should also check for leaks, cracks, explosions, burning, or internal liquid leaking from the screw connections. Usually, such batteries have major quality problems. Not only should you not choose lithium-ion batteries with defects in appearance, but you should also avoid choosing batteries of the same model and manufacturer to prevent safety accidents and various malfunctions during use.
③ In addition to checking the external appearance for completeness, internal load measurements should also be performed. Once it is confirmed that there are no abnormalities in the appearance, the next step is usually to subject the lithium-ion battery UPS to a certain load while it is in working mode. If the discharge time of the lithium-ion battery cannot reach the normal discharge time, or if it still cannot return to the normal standard backup time after sufficient charging, it indicates that the battery has aged and can no longer meet people's daily needs for lithium-ion batteries.
