Artificial intelligence is gradually being put into use; have you caught a glimpse of these AI applications?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is already being used in real life; the recently popular ChatGPT is a product of AI. In the near future, AI will undoubtedly shine even brighter. To enhance everyone's understanding of AI, this article will introduce three applications of AI. If you are interested in AI, please continue reading.

I. ITC Image Transformation Code

With the evolution of coding technology, today's technology has advanced to the point where it is no longer necessary to pre-design code symbols and construct code graphics to obtain stable recognition results. Under the algorithm of artificial intelligence, natural paper textures, voiceprints, natural images, and even body information can be directly transformed into code.

AR (Augmented Reality) technology, which has become popular in recent years, allows users to access a website by taking a picture of a printed image with their mobile phone. This technology has rapidly gained popularity because open-source programs can be downloaded from the internet. However, AR technology uses image recognition algorithms, and the result is a file that occupies tens of megabytes of memory, which is inconvenient for network operations and applications involving large numbers of images.

From another perspective, Google Glass and image retrieval both require capturing an image and then directly accessing the internet or performing online searches using that image. This led to the development of another technology—ITC (Image To Code). ITC uses spatial mapping algorithms to construct feature vectors from certain image features, and then organizes them into a 10^36 code using a probabilistic self-organizing algorithm. This allows any image captured by a mobile device to become a code, meaning any image can be directly used as a QR code. This achievement allows any product label to become a QR code without any processing, enabling all products in the world to connect to the internet overnight without compromising the aesthetics of the product label. It also realizes the vision of Google Glass connecting to the internet from any image, and allows users to directly search for any product online by capturing an image with a mobile phone, promoting online sales and playing a significant role in the development of VR products. Compared to traditional AR, ITC codes have a capacity of only one ten-thousandth, making them easy for mobile devices to recognize. They also have the advantages of low server usage and fast retrieval speed, making them suitable for large-scale, high-volume international applications.

II. AR Glasses for "Simultaneous Interpretation" -- Smart Wearable Devices Facilitate Accessibility

As artificial intelligence integrates into all aspects of life, devices equipped with artificial intelligence are also becoming smaller. For example, smartwatches can answer calls, reply to WeChat messages, and monitor exercise; smart glasses look like ordinary glasses and can be worn to make and receive calls and listen to music.

However, the smart glasses showcased at the Zhongguancun Forum are more practical. These "Liangliang Listener Smart Glasses" are binocular waveguide AR smart glasses.

VR glasses immerse users in a virtual world, while AR glasses do not obstruct vision. They blend the real and virtual worlds, enabling functions impossible in the real world. For example, people with hearing impairments often face difficulties in work, social interactions, and studies due to difficulty hearing. These glasses can convert sound information into text and display it in front of the user. They also feature simultaneous interpretation, recognizing different languages and converting them into Chinese or other languages, facilitating understanding in international communication environments. Lightweight and portable, weighing only 79g, these glasses are much lighter than other AR glasses on the market (200-300g), making them ideal for extended wear. They are also compatible with lenses for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia. The outer side of the glasses is light-proof, protecting privacy; content is only visible to the wearer. The glasses also feature millisecond-level real-time subtitles, noise reduction algorithms, accurate sound pickup within 5 meters, and a translation accuracy rate of over 95%. It is understood that this product is already in mass production capability.

III. Open Source Privacy-Preserving Computing Technology – Applied to Fields such as Finance and Healthcare

Privacy-preserving computing, also known as privacy-protecting computation, refers to a series of information technologies that analyze and compute data while ensuring that data providers do not disclose the original data. This achieves "usable but invisible" data during circulation and integration, thereby realizing the transformation and release of data value. Privacy-preserving computing provides much-needed protection for privacy data in future industries. At this year's Zhongguancun Forum Exhibition (Science and Technology Expo), Ant Group unveiled its complete open-source platform, centered on key foundational software, for the first time. All nine core technologies are open-source, including the privacy-preserving computing technology "Hidden Language." This means that this technology platform is open to global users, allowing them to directly use product functions without needing to call or develop code, helping them explore privacy-preserving computing application scenarios at low cost.

According to reports, cryptography is already being used in finance, healthcare, and insurance. For example, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, in collaboration with Ant Group's cryptography platform, identified over 145,000 high-risk users, preventing the issuance of billions of RMB in high-risk loans. In healthcare, Ant's privacy computing platform, in partnership with Alibaba Cloud's digital healthcare team, has built a data fusion platform for hospital operations management. This platform provides managers with digital performance management analysis, helping hospitals establish a refined operational management system and reduce economic and clinical risks. Furthermore, in the past, insurance companies would obtain unnecessary raw data by querying medical institutions in plaintext (i.e., unencrypted data) regarding the insured's medical treatment during the claims process. Ant's solution, however, uses privacy computing technologies such as multi-party secure computation to set data query logic, ensuring that insurance companies only receive the query result indicating whether a claim has been paid, without obtaining any raw data, thus protecting the privacy of claimants.
