1. By packaging lithium-ion batteries into lithium-ion battery packs, the size and weight of UPS systems can be reduced, allowing for more efficient use of space. Lithium-ion batteries store energy in a smaller space, thus occupying only about one-third (or less) the space of a valve-regulated battery of the same power.
2. Lithium-ion batteries have a longer lifespan than lead-acid batteries, with a cycle life exceeding 800 cycles. This extends the lifespan of lithium-ion UPS batteries, reducing maintenance costs and the burden of battery replacements.
3. Lithium-ion battery packs have high energy density. The energy density of lithium-ion batteries is 3 to 4 times that of lead-acid batteries, 2.5 times that of nickel-cadmium batteries, and 1.8 times that of nickel-metal hydride batteries. Therefore, lithium-ion batteries are superior for UPS power supplies of the same volume.
4. Lithium-ion batteries have strong high-temperature adaptability. The thermal peak of lithium iron phosphate battery packs can reach 350~500℃, and they can be used in environments ranging from -20℃ to 75℃.
5. Lithium-ion batteries are green and environmentally friendly. Whether in production, use, or disposal, they do not contain or contain any toxic or harmful heavy metal elements and substances such as lead, mercury, and cadmium, and comply with European RoHS regulations.
6. No memory effect: Lithium iron phosphate batteries can be charged and used at any time, regardless of their state, without needing to be fully discharged before charging.
