Open TIA Portal V17, select "Libraries", and then "Open Global Library", as shown in the figure.
The installation was successful, as shown in the image.
04. Add data blocks
Drag and drop the library file into the program block to form an FB block.
Drag the FB block into the OB block.
Then a data block will be generated.
Then create a new data block.
Create these two new data types.
Configure the slave IP address.
Enter the parameters of the slave device.
Note: Equipment parameters can be found in the EDS file provided by the manufacturer.
View the slave input/output addresses within this data type.
Fill in the data for DB1.
Finally, compile and download the data to the PLC.
