As an electronic product, a photovoltaic inverter consists of numerous components. When generating electricity via grid connection, it must be connected to the power grid. Due to its unique nature, carelessness is absolutely necessary during installation and maintenance; otherwise, many safety hazards may arise, such as electric shock and fire. Today, we will explain the basic installation requirements and precautions for centralized photovoltaic inverters.
Basic requirements for the installation of centralized photovoltaic inverters
Centralized photovoltaic inverters have an IP21 protection rating, and electronic equipment must also meet certain basic installation requirements:
1. Install indoors, away from excessive humidity and high temperature sources, and avoid direct sunlight and rain.
2. The installation site must have a solid foundation and sufficient load-bearing capacity.
3. Sufficient space must be left at the installation location to operate the buttons and observe the LED lights or LCD screen.
4. Ensure the installation environment temperature is within a certain range: (-25°C to 55°C).
5. The installation environment is clean and wiring is convenient.
6. The room is well-ventilated and free of corrosive gases.
7. Leave sufficient distance from the wall in all directions to ensure ventilation, heat dissipation, installation, maintenance, and safe escape.
8. Avoid storing non-flammable and explosive materials together, and comply with fire safety requirements.
9. Install it in a location away from residential areas as much as possible, as it will generate some noise during operation (<65dB).
Installation precautions for centralized photovoltaic inverters:
1. The inverter can only be powered on and operated after the commissioning engineer's approval.
2. The inverter should be installed by a qualified engineer following the steps outlined in this manual.
3. Inverters can only be installed on concrete bases or other non-flammable mounting surfaces.
4. Ensure that the grounding wire in the power distribution room is properly grounded, and that the grounding resistance is less than 4Ω in a dry environment.
5. If the inverter control power is taken from the low-voltage power distribution in the computer room or a heater is installed, please ensure that the power distribution in the computer room can provide 4KW of power.
