In 2019, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, together with the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Bureau of Statistics, released 13 new occupations to the public, one of which was industrial robot system maintenance worker. Its basic definition is: personnel who use tools, measuring instruments, testing instruments and equipment to perform data collection, status monitoring, fault analysis and diagnosis, repair and preventive maintenance and upkeep of industrial robots, industrial robot workstations or systems.
To regulate the professional conduct of practitioners and guide the development of vocational education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have formulated the 2020 edition of the "Occupational Skill Standards for Operation and Maintenance of Industrial Robot Systems" to provide a basis for vocational skill assessment and vocational skill level assessment.
According to the "Analysis Report on the Employment Situation of Industrial Robot System Maintenance Personnel" released by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the demand for industrial robot system maintenance personnel in my country is expected to reach about 1.25 million in the next five years.
Main job tasks
1. Conduct routine inspections and diagnoses of the mechanical systems of the industrial robot body, end effector, and peripheral devices;
2. Conduct routine inspections and diagnoses of the electrical systems of industrial robots, including the control system, drive system, power supply, and wiring.
3. Perform maintenance and upkeep on industrial robots, industrial robot workstations, or systems according to the maintenance manual, including zero-point calibration, dust prevention, battery replacement, and lubrication oil replacement.
4. Use measuring equipment to collect data such as operating parameters and working status of industrial robots, industrial robot workstations, or systems for monitoring;
5. Analyze, diagnose, and repair faults in industrial robot workstations or systems;
6. Prepare operation, maintenance, and repair reports for industrial robot systems.
