The history of stepper motors: In 1973, the German company Baigella invented the five-phase hybrid stepper motor and its driver; in 1993, they introduced the three-phase hybrid stepper motor with even better performance. Before the 1980s, reactive stepper motors dominated the Chinese market, and hybrid stepper motors only began to develop in the late 1980s.
