The SC5U series is a new generation of bus-type motion control small PLC independently developed by Leadshine. It adopts a quad-core high-speed processor, supports 8 to 32 EtherCAT bus axes, 127 EtherCAT slaves, and 6 to 8 local pulse axes. It has 6 programming languages conforming to the IEC61131-3 standard, and can realize process encapsulation and reuse through FB/FC functions. It comes with RS485, RS232, and Ethernet interfaces to realize multi-level network communication.
Meanwhile, the SC5U series also boasts powerful motion control capabilities. In addition to common motions such as point-to-point motion, interpolation, and electronic cams/gears, it also integrates various industry control algorithms such as high-speed probes/external interrupts, high-speed fly-through imaging, small line segment look-ahead, and robot kinematics models, which are highly compatible with the common process requirements of industries such as printing and packaging, winding, 3C electronics, and semiconductors.

The PLC itself comes with 36 inputs and 24 outputs for general-purpose I/O control. The outputs support NPN type connection, while the inputs support both NPN and PNP type connection. The input/output wiring diagram is as follows:

Typical System Architecture of SC5U Series

The SC5U series PLC supports mainstream industrial network communication protocols such as MQTT IoT, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/RTU, and custom communication modes. It allows for flexible networking and quick and easy integration into MES/ERP systems, bridging IT-OT for production site information management. It also supports web-based visualization, enabling easy configuration of the human-machine interface for remote monitoring of equipment status and production information.
