What are battery rate and discharge rate?

Battery capacity

The charge/discharge rate is used to express the charge/discharge capacity of a battery, and the unit is C. 1C represents the current intensity when the battery is fully discharged in one hour. For example, an 18650 battery with a nominal capacity of 2200mA·h will be fully discharged in one hour at a 1C intensity, and the discharge current will be 2200mA.

Battery discharge rate

Discharge rate is related to the discharge rate. For example, 1C indicates the current intensity when the battery is fully discharged in one hour. What about a discharge rate of 0.5C? Or a discharge rate of 10C, 20C, etc.? This is called discharge rate. In fact, it's the other way around: the discharge rate is a certain multiple, and then multiplied by the original 1C to get the discharge rate.

High-rate batteries

High-rate batteries, as opposed to standard-rate batteries, represent the charging and discharging capabilities of lithium-ion polymer batteries. High-rate batteries are divided into discharge rate and charge rate, denoted by "C" to indicate the ratio of the battery's charging and discharging current. For example, for a 1200mAh battery, 0.2C represents 240mA (0.2 times the 1200mAh capacity), and 1C represents 1200mA (1 times the 1200mAh capacity).
