How to extend the life of a mobile phone battery when it's not lasting?

What to do if your phone battery is running low? Different batteries have different characteristics, and users must charge them according to the manufacturer's instructions. Even in standby mode, phone calls consume battery power. If you want to fast charge, it's best to turn off the phone or remove the battery before charging. So, how can you extend battery life?

If the battery performance is insufficient, then you need to find ways to compensate for minor deficiencies in the efficiency of both the machine and the battery. If the issue is with battery lifespan, then you should take good care of the battery and avoid doing things that could shorten its lifespan.

Avoid misuse and extend your phone's battery life.

1. Avoid prolonged charging. While my experience with long-term mobile phone charging is limited, laptops, with their lithium batteries, are frequently charged for extended periods. I remember when I first bought mine a few years ago, the battery life was incredible; it could last almost four hours without charging, enough for meetings and writing. However, in the last two years before it became obsolete, the battery would almost be dead after being unplugged for less than 40 minutes. This shows that prolonged charging does have an impact on lithium batteries.

2. Try to avoid getting the battery in water. I used to have a really good phone; it played music exceptionally well, and the camera could even take macro shots, which was very convenient for snapping photos of snippets of text in books and magazines. Unfortunately, it fell into water, and ever since then, the phone hasn't been able to be turned on. I had to give the battery away.

3. Avoid leaving batteries inside electrical appliances for extended periods. This is a well-documented practice; after prolonged storage, growths can occur around the battery. This is not a pleasant prospect.

4. Of course, you should also try not to charge the battery before it is fully used up. This is similar to charging it frequently or for a long time, as it will damage the battery's lifespan.

My phone runs out of battery after a day or two.

Most mobile phone batteries can last 1-2 days if not used frequently. Smartphones, in particular, consume even more power. So how do you deal with a phone suddenly running out of battery?

1. Carry a data cable with you. Many mobile phones can now be charged directly through a computer's USB port. This is convenient and also allows the phone and computer to sync. When the phone runs out of power, you can use the data cable to charge it directly through the computer.

2. Spare Battery. These days, when buying a phone, sellers often ask if you want a spare battery. This shows that battery life is still quite common. Buying a spare battery can prevent the embarrassment of suddenly running out of power. However, there are many things to keep in mind when storing a fully charged battery. Simply leaving it in your bag can easily cause it to drain, ultimately making things difficult.

3. Spare charger. You can carry a spare charger with you at work or with you. In case it runs out of power, you can find a place with an outlet to recharge.

4. Power-saving tips. Smartphones mainly consume power for browsing the internet. Reducing smartphone use when there's no backup power will extend battery life. For example, adjust the screen display settings, or use a landline to return calls.

5. Buy a high-performance battery. Many mobile phone brands now offer batteries with extended standby time. These are naturally more expensive than regular batteries, and generally take longer to charge. However, they allow your phone to be used for much longer.

6. Check if nearby hotels or other establishments have temporary charging facilities. Some hotels provide these in their lobbies for guests' convenience. They usually require coins or something similar.
